How do teacher and student classes work?

Teachers create a class space, share a join code, and students join to receive quizzes, announcements, chat messages, feedback, and class results.

Think of a class as a digital version of the teacher's classroom noticeboard, quiz book, and results sheet in one place. The teacher leads the class space. Students use it to know what work has been given, when to complete it, what score they got, and what feedback the teacher left.

For Teachers

Teachers use classes to organize learning for a real group of students. After creating a class, the teacher can share the join code, welcome students into the class, post announcements, keep class chat focused, and assign quizzes with a time limit or closing time.

When students finish a class quiz, the teacher can review who submitted, compare scores, open individual submissions, give feedback, and see which students may need more help. The class view helps the teacher move from one student's work to the whole class picture without losing the details.

  • Use clear class names so students choose the right group.
  • Share the join code only with students who should enter that class.
  • Use announcements for homework, reminders, tests, or class notices.
  • Use chat for learning questions, corrections, and teacher guidance.
  • Use feedback to explain what a student did well and what they should improve.

For Students

Students join with the code given by the teacher. After joining, My Classes becomes the main place for that teacher's announcements, class messages, assigned quizzes, class records, feedback, and leaderboard information.

A class quiz is different from normal personal practice. It is work given by the teacher for that class. Students should open class quizzes from My Classes, read the instructions carefully, complete the quiz on time, and return to View Result when results are available.

  • Enter the class code exactly as the teacher shared it.
  • Open My Classes to see new class quizzes, messages, and announcements.
  • Complete class quizzes before the due time where one is shown.
  • Reply to teacher messages when chat is open and keep the chat about learning.
  • Check feedback if your teacher comments on a submitted quiz.
  • Use View Result after a quiz is published or closed to see your performance.

Class Quizzes And Results

Class quizzes are for the teacher's class work. They help students know how they performed on an assigned quiz, and they help the teacher see the class performance after everyone has submitted or the quiz time has ended.

When results are ready, students can use View Result to check their score, see feedback if the teacher added any, and compare their position with other students in the class. This makes the result page useful after every class quiz instead of leaving students guessing.

Good Classroom Habits

Teachers should share the join code carefully, use clear quiz titles, announce due times early, and keep feedback simple enough for students to act on. A short note like "revise fractions" or "check question 8 again" can guide a student quickly.

Students should check My Classes often, avoid sharing class codes outside the class, complete quizzes before the deadline, and read teacher feedback before retrying similar work.
