FAQ Guide
How do teacher and student classrooms work?
Teachers create classrooms, students join with a code, and class quizzes save to classroom records for teacher review.
QuizAppa help guide | 6 quick steps
A classroom is a teacher-managed space inside QuizAppa. The teacher creates a class, shares a join code, and students use that code to enter. Once joined, students can open My Classes to see class quizzes, announcements, leaderboards, and records.
Quick Revision Tips
- Teacher creates a classroom from the teacher dashboard
- Teacher shares the classroom join code with students
- Student opens My Classes and enters the code
- Teacher assigns a class quiz with a time limit
- Student submits the classroom quiz
- Teacher reviews submissions, feedback, leaderboard, and student stats
For Teachers
Teachers use classrooms to keep students, announcements, class quizzes, and records in one place. A teacher can create a class, choose the class level, share the join code, and assign questions from the available quiz content.
After students submit a classroom quiz, the teacher can review scores, individual submissions, leaderboards, and student records. Teachers can also add feedback to a submission and rebuild class stats when old submissions need to be counted.
- Use clear classroom names so students choose the right class.
- Share the join code only with students who should enter that class.
- Use announcements for homework, quiz reminders, or class notices.
- Archive term records when you want to keep old work without mixing it with the current term.
For Students
Students join with the code given by the teacher. After joining, My Classes becomes the main place for class quizzes, announcements, class records, and leaderboard information.
A classroom quiz is separate from normal practice. Students should open classroom quizzes from My Classes so the attempt is saved where the teacher can review it.
- Enter the class code exactly as the teacher shared it.
- Open My Classes to see new class quizzes and announcements.
- Complete class quizzes before the due time where one is shown.
- Check feedback if your teacher comments on a submitted quiz.
How Classroom Scores Are Saved
Normal quiz practice saves to the student's personal score history when the account is allowed to store that type of result. Classroom quizzes save to the classroom quiz submission instead, because the teacher needs those records for class performance.
This separation keeps personal practice analytics clean while still allowing teachers to track assigned work.
Keeping Classroom Data Efficient
Classroom pages are designed to load the classroom list, quiz list, submissions, and student stats only when needed. Students should use My Classes for their own class work, while teachers should use the teacher dashboard for management and records.
If old submissions were created before stats were available, a teacher can rebuild student stats once instead of repeatedly reading every submission during normal classroom use.
